Kadium was founded in 2001 as a full-service interactive agency with the commitment to create work that would engage, empower, and entertain our clients' customers.

After six years we have grown to thirty employees and have produced an array of award-winning work, from websites that provide critical health information to cancer patients to campaigns that actually get teenage gamers to pay attention.

KEVIN NEWBY
Chief Executive Officer

Kevin is the managing partner of Kadium and oversees its client services and new business ventures.Kevin's leadership record dates back to the beginnings of interactive marketing, when he co-founded Rockpile Interactive in 1996. As Creative Director of Rockpile, his interactive agency clients included Hewlett-Packard, Office Depot, Qualcomm, and Berkeley Systems. As the VP Creative Director for Circle Euro RSCG Kevin led accounts such as Datek Online as well as new business. Kevin stays on top of the the latest trends and changes in technology, optimizing their potential for maximum client benefit.

Chief Creative Officer

Derick is the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Kadium.Derick's professional career began at Rockpile Interactive where he designed and developed marketing solutions for Office Depot, Hewlett-Packard, and Eve.com. At Convergence Media Group, he pioneered the development of flash based microsites for Levi's, Virgin Records, and the WB Television network.A ten year veteran of interactive marketing space, Derick is a pioneer in the interactive advertising space, developing award-winning campaigns for Electronic Arts, 2K Sports, Levi's, Edios, and the United States Air Force among many others.

Chief Creative Officer

Mike is the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Kadium.Mike began his career as one of the founding members of Gap.Com, which has since evolved into one of the world's largest online e-tailers. Mike also led visual design for Gap Kids before joining Convergence Media Group, where he built dynamic web solutions for Carsey-Werner television, Levi's, and Virgin Records among other noted clients. His Kadium team has created award-winning projects for Genentech, Method, Sony Music, and SCEA through leadership that focuses on consumer engagement and participation. Mike delivers award-winning, consumer-focused interactive solutions that strengthen brand equity.

Senior Project Manager

The SPM is the project owner and the liaison between the client and internal staff. They manage the client relationship and coordinate the day-to-day project details and deliverables both internally and externally. They ensure that the project milestones are met throughout each phase of the project both on time and on budget.

Traffic Manager

The TRAFFIC MANAGER is responsible for the internal scheduling of work throughout the agency. The traffic manager opens all jobs entering the agency and assigns a step-by-step schedule of completion to each of those jobs as it is entered. Under the direction of the project managers, the traffic manager coordinates movement of all jobs through all departments. Each day the traffic manager prepares a status report of all active jobs in the agency, assigning a status to each job. This report is distributed to everyone in the agency. The traffic manager tracks and physically moves jobs from one step of completion to the next. As changes in timing or scheduling take place, the traffic manager is informed so an accurate schedule can be produced each day.

Web Production Engineer

Develops clean, semantically sound, W3C standards-compliant XHTML/CSS markup and Javascript page code within myriad server environments. Responsible for executing cross-brower compatible markup with little to no sacrifice of initial page designs. Works well within a team and understands staff roles across the project scope.Approximately 3 - 4 years of experience in creating/debugging HTML (hand coding), XHTML, CSS, DHTML, and Javascript. Expert knowledge of web standards and cross browser compatibility. Expert knowledge of image slicing and optimization techniques.
